While I have moments of frustration dealing with the heat, traffic and bugs of Houston, there are really wonderful aspects to this city as well. Top three that come to mind are diversity, food and art — all three converge at the breakfast klub in Midtown.
This hometown breakfast spot is legendary for its Southern style servings of fried catfish & grits, as well as their famous chicken & waffles. A family-owned restaurant, owner Marcus Davis has created an atmosphere where customers are treated like family. It is a popular place, so be prepared to wait outdoors for an inside spot. Tents, iced water and the friendliest team of employees will keep it all under control and moving along at a reasonable pace.
This Sunday we waited over an hour, but there is fantastic people watching to kill the time, and the food is something special. I highly recommend it!
